Inspecting & Testing |

As an NICEIC Contractor we can carry out the required testing and
certification to satisfy your needs. Most mortgage providers insist on
the periodic report which is a detailed 6+ page report which classes the
condition of the electrical installation as either satisfactory or
unsatisfactory. Other tests we do are PAT or Portable Appliance Tests,
Completion Certificates and Minor Works Certifications.

Lighting System. We work with the local Fire Officer to ensure that the specification
we design meets requirements.

We carry out many types of electric heating. Complete household
installations of night storage heaters on economy 7 or off peak
electric. Space heating such as convectors and downflow heaters. Our
favourite space heater at the moment is the Quartz heaters. Wall or
ceiling mounted they really make you feel like the sun shines all

Heating |

We supply and install including some associated plumbing works, the
following; Under/Over Sink Water Heaters, Handwash units, Showers,
immersions, central heating pump controls etc. Showers are an economical
form of cleansing.

| Fuseboard
Upgrades and RCD Protection |
|
|
|
Many properties still have old fuseboards or consumer units. They can
all be upgraded to new splitload MCB and RCD protected boards. In simple
terms a new board provides overload protection without the hassle of re-wirable
fuses or cartridges. If your MCB draws too much current it will flip
off. Your RCD, which needs to protect all your sockets will
"trip" when it draws a fault current, the classic scenario of
cutting the flymo lead will cause "earth leakage" or a
"fault" and your RCD will trip. This protection is again worth
the cost in the event of the above happening to you.
As an interim measure all external appliances should be plugged into
an RCD extension plug.
